USDOT number
Also: US DOT number, DOT number
A USDOT number is the unique identifier the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration assigns to a company that operates commercial vehicles. It is used to track a carrier’s safety record, inspections, crashes, and audits. Most interstate carriers, and carriers in states that require it, must have one before operating.
